The Ferrari 330 GTC was introduced during the Geneva Salon of 1966. The 330 GTC featured a 4 litre V12 engine with double overhead camshafts and a five speed gearbox mounted to the differential (transaxle).
The body was manufactured of steel, the bonnet and booth lid were made from aluminium. Quickly after the introduction of the 330 GTC topless version was presented during the Paris salon; the Ferrari 330 GTS.
The 330 GTC and GTS were designed by Pininfarina. The front of the models was inspired by the nose of the Ferrari 500 Superfast. The rear followed the beautiful lines of the Ferrari 275 GTS.
the 330 GTC and GTS did not follow up previous models; both cars were new additions to the Ferrari model program.
The 330 models were designed and produced to appeal to a clientele with a taste for style and refinement. The contemporary Ferrari 275 and Ferrari 365 Berlinetta were true "hard core" sportscars created to perform without concessions.
The Ferrari 330 GTC and GTS materialize a very elegant, fast and easy way of driving a Ferrari sportscar.
Production figures: Of the Ferrari 330 GTC 598 cars have been built between 1966 and 1968. Of the Ferrari 330 GTS 100 cars have been built between 1966 and 1968. After the year 1968 a few changes were made to the cars and the model names were changed to 365 GTC and 365 GTS.
