The Mercedes
230 SL followed the Mercedes 190 SL which was built up until 1963. The
timeless, austere design that was first seen in the Mercedes 300 SE
sedan in 1961, was continued in the 230 SL: many see this version as the
most beautiful Mercedes since the 1960s. Six-cylinder

230 SL ‘Pagoda’, year 1966. Chassis number W113042-10-015364. Colour
silver metallic with a blue leather interior. Blue soft top and hard top
in body colour. This fantastic 230 SL comes from a classic car
collection. The automobile is in excellent original condition and the
car comes with a FULLY documented history from new! Even the original
purchase invoice is present! The car was purchased in 1966 by Mr.
Lawrence A. Chambers at the Mercedes-Benz factory in Sindelfingen. On
June 8 1966 the 230 SL was shipped with the SS Carmen to the USA, Mr.
Chambers lived in La Jolla, California. In the year 1987 the car was
sold to Mrs. Mary T. Quin from Manhatten Beach. In April 2002 the SL was
registered in the Netherlands. The very original car was given beautiful
new paint by a specialist. This 230 SL features power steering a 3rd
seat behind the passenger seat, a beautiful period Becker Europa radio
and the original hard top in body colour. This
