Information
MG (Morris Garage) was set up by William Morris in the year 1923 to market a more sporty line of Morris models. Morris Production Manager, Cecil Kimber, was transferred from the factory in Cowley to Morris Garages (in Abington) to design MG's using Morris parts. MG production in Abingdon started in the year 1924. At the end of the 1930s, even normal passenger cars were introduced under the MG label. Six cylinder
in-line
engine (SOC) MG L2 Magna, year 1933. Matching numbers. Colour red with a red leather interior and red wire wheels. This fabulous and very rare MG L2 Magna is in superb (excellent+) condition. The automobile was extensively restored by E. Bruckschen in the years 1985/1986. This MG L2 Magna has been meticulously kept ever since, only very slight signs of use can be found. This car features the fantastic optional (Wilson patented) ENV pre-selective gearbox. The L2 Magna is one of the most special and sought after pre war MG road cars and a contemporary family member of the famous supercharged K3 racing model. The K3 and L2 Magna share the same basic components like the K series chassis, six cylinder engine with overhead camshaft and the ENV pre-selector gearbox. Only about 90 MG L2 cars have been built. Very rare and special; a sound investment and... Mille Miglia eligible! This
