The Volvo PV 544 succeeded the Volvo PV 444 in 1958.
The Volvo PV 544 is a very robust and sturdy car, just like it's predecessor. Compared to the PV 444 the PV 544 features a "one piece" front windscreen, 12 volts electrics and the Volvo B 18 engine with five crankshaft bearings.
The Volvo PV 444 and PV 544 were very successful almost indestructible rally cars. These cars are so robust that very many of them stood up to the test of time, and still survive.
Looking at the rally driving qualities of the car we only have to look in the past: the Volvo PV 544 is one of the best choices if you want to participate in historic rally events. Because of the sturdy construction an the simple but strong mechanics these cars survive the harshest driving conditions.

Information

Volvo PV 544, year 1962. Colour crème white with a red interior. This robust Volvo PV 544 is in very good and super original condition! The automobile shows all original details. This original car only received a full repaint in the past and new headlining in the interior. The rest of the interior is original and a beautiful period Blaupunkt radio is mounted to the dashboard. The chrome bumpers and hub caps are absolutely beautiful only the chrome rear window frames show some 'pitting'. This beautifully maintained and serviced, over 50 years old, Volvo drives very well powered by it's reliable B18 engine. This Volvo is an ideal classic to enjoy in this beautiful original guise or to prepare it for historic rally events!
