(Lycoming) Cord 812 SC Phaeton, 1937. Colour red with a black leather interior and a black hood. Chassis number 32210H, engine number FC2919, matching numbers. This extremely beautiful and very scarce Cord 812 is one of the 99 super charged Phaetons which were ever built. This stunning Gordon Buehrig design features the unique 'coffin nose' with alligator bonnet and wrap around grille. Manually retractable head lights and minimalist details compliment the purity of the fluent designed Phaeton bodywork. The interior features a wonderful Aircraft style dashboard. This Cord 812 SC is in very good condition throughout and the car shows all original details. The automobile was sold new in the USA and was imported to the Netherlands in the year 1997. The driving experience of this front wheel drive automobile is magnificent. The supercharged Cord is fast for a prewar automobile. The V8 engine runs very smooth and at higher revs you hear and feel the additional power of the supercharger being served... just fantastic!
