Six
cylinder in-line engine (OHV) Rolls Royce Phantom I Warwick limousine
by Brewster, year 1928. Colour two-tone white and black, black vinyl
rooftop. Beige velour interior. This impressive Phantom I was coach built
by Brewster of New York with a delightful Warwick limousine body. The
automobile was delivered to it's first owner, Dr. A.B. MacGray from
Detroit on September 5, 1928. In the early 1970'ies this unique Rolls
Royce was sold to a British classic car dealership in Goldhurst, Kent.
They sold the fully original car to a collector from the Netherlands in
1973. The Rolls Royce was fully restored by the renown British
specialist Jonathan Hartley. The restoration was completed in the year
1977. When finished the Rolls Royce was shipped to the Netherlands to be
added to a private collection of vintage cars. The business of the owner
went into receivership in the year 1993. The automobile was then sold to
a collector from Belgium who owned the car for about 20 years. Since the
restoration about 35 years ago the car has driven only 5900 miles. The
automobile was perfectly maintained, the car is still in superb
(excellent++) near concours condition! The Rolls Royce was marketed as
the best car in the world, this Phantom I is a shining example of that
statement. This
vintage car was sold to Russia E-mail: info@lexclassics.nl |
