Colour tri-tone pale green/green and black. Beige leather interior and a
black canvas hood. Black wire wheels. Lincoln belongs to the upper class American marques
next to Duesenberg and Cadillac. Extremely well designed and built to
the highest standards. Motoring legend Parry Thomas designer of the
Leyland Eight, successful Brooklands racing driver, and World Land Speed
Record holder (with BABS on Pendine Sands in 1926) tested and highly
praised the Lincoln V8 in the 1920'ies! Automobiles in this class cost around $6000 as a
nice luxury sedan could be purchased for about $500 in the late 1920ies. This
tremendous Lincoln model L features a 'dual cowl four-seater' Sport
Phaeton bodywork by Locke of New York. Between the years 1927 and 1929
only 298 of these exclusive bodies have been built by Locke. This
automobile features the original body type 163B with body number 13-291.
