The MG B was the first MG (Morris Garage) to be built of unitary construction bodywork. The MG B roadster was manufactured between 1962 and 1980. Early models can be recognized by the chrome bumpers, but because of American rules on safety, the later models were equipped with synthetic bumpers. The greater part was exported to the United States.

MG MGB 3.9 Litre V8 roadster, year 1972. Colour dark blue with a grey leather interior. Black soft top and hood cover. Chassis number GHD5277912. Engine number 7A07152B. This fantastic and very impressive custom built MGB V8 is in superb (excellent++) condition! This MGB was registered in the Netherlands in the year 2009. Then the car was fully restored, up rated and rebuild. Since restoration the MH has driven only 7956 kilometers. This MGB shows what the 1990'ies MG RV8 could/should have been!

Technical:

  • front suspension; Coil-over system with adjustable Gaz shock absorbers (ride height and damping adjustable)

  • Wilwood 4-piston race calipers and vented disc brakes

  • Minilite rims 16 inch 6J with 205/65/16 tires. Modified inner wings to contain the wider wheels

  • rear suspension; parabolic leaf springs with Koni shock absorbers and steady bars, live rear axle with up rated differential

  • petrol tank moved more up front to create additional space for the custom built Stainless Steel sports exhaust

  • MG RV8 exhaust manifold (wrapped) and headers (through the inner wings)

  • engine; Rover 3.9 Litre V8 built brand new by RPI engineering

  • fast road camshafts, special cam followers, special pistons, bigger intake and exhaust valves, all bores polished.

  • lowered inlet manifold fitted with Weber 4 choke downdraught carburettor

  • Mallory ignition with special leads

  • LT 77 Land/Range Rover gearbox

  • interior; light grey leather seats, door panels and console in MG RV8 style

  • walnut dashboard panel, door panels, grips and console (custom made)

  • LHD modified MGB V8 GT dashboard panel with original odometer (miles) and V8 rev counter (rare)

  • additional gauges in console, volts, clock and oil temperature

  • roll bar and soft top; custom made multi layer mohair soft top with zippable rear window.

This is a very special MGB V8 roadster, extremely well built and a fantastic, very impressive driver!
