The Bugatti
EB110 GT is a mid-engined 4-wheel-drive supersports car from Bugatti
Automobili SpA. It was introduced September 15, 1991, both in Versailles
and in front of the Grande Arche at La Défense in Paris, France, exactly
110 years after Ettore Bugatti's birth.
The car has double wishbone suspension all around and an advanced carbon
fibre monocoque chassis manufactured by Aérospatiale, an aircraft
company. Equipped with upward hinging doors as standard and through the
glass rear window for an impressive appearance of the unique Bugatti V12
engine. Five pre-production prototypes were built in aluminium, followed
by eight prototypes with carbon chassis. It is believed that only 95 of
the EB110 GT models were made.
The EB110 GT is capable of 216 mph (348 km/h) and 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in
3.2 seconds, which is still astonishing by today’s standards.
In 1995,
Romano Artioli's Bugatti Automobili SpA ceased to exist. Following that
Dauer Sportwagen GmbH from Nüremberg in Germany bought the entire
remaining stock of the company at an auction in 1997, including all
spare parts and five unfinished EB110 chassis’. Dauer Sportwagen is well
known as the firm who masterminded undoubtedly the very best road legal
version of Porsche's 962 racing car, known as the Dauer-Porsche 962LM,
which as a road-going GT won outright victory at Le Mans in 1994.
Walter Röhrl, the famous rally driver and car tester (World Rally
Champion in 1980, 1982) called this Bugatti the best super car he ever
drove!

Information
The The Bugatti EB110 GT presented here is
Chassisnr. 012, was delivered 22 October 1996. It is finished in Bugatti
blue with special ordered soft grey leather interior. This is a one
owner, brand new car with only 859 km! It is Swiss registered.
Just now and then one of the mere 95 produced EB110 GT cars is for sale.
These thoroughbred supercars are sensitive to have the correct
professional maintenance as required in time or at every 5000 – 10.000
km. Since this Bugatti has only done a few km’s every effort was made to
check and to recondition the whole car before putting it on the road
again. The work on the car by the top specialist in the market and under
supervision of mr Jochen Dauer personally took several months and as a
result this Bugatti is now in a pristine, original and as new condition.
During this maintenance, the following
components were checked, rectified and if necessary replaced:
• The complete interior was taken out, cleaned and
re-installed
• The aircraft style fuel tanks were replaced with new ones and fitted
with new uprated fuel pumps
• The ignition coils and injectors were removed and carefully checked
• Compression tests were made
• Turbochargers thoroughly inspected
• Complete nut and bolt check on the front and rear suspensions
• Oil leak check and new reservoirs fitted for servo fluid
• New brake discs and pads fitted
• Brake master cylinders and clutch slave cylinder replaced
• All liquids and filters replaced
• Fan belts replaced
• All checks carried out on the electrical system and any minor
malfunctions repaired
• Air-condition re-assembled, filled and tested
• Properly road tested
• New tyres fitted, delivered by the Michelin factory at special order
and fitted after completion of the road tests.
And many other items too numerous to mention here.
All this recent work was carried out by an experienced Bugatti engineer
with over 20 years of experience with these cars!
The car comes with the original ‘Bugatti Warranty and Service booklet’
and the ‘Operation and Maintenance Handbook’.
Finally
This Bugatti EB110 GT is now in an “as new” and concours condition, both
visually and technically. This car is not to be confused with any other
EB110 that may be on offer!
This is the best and the most original Bugatti EB 110GT that is and will
probably ever come onto the market. This is a once in a lifetime
opportunity to acquire a unique piece of Bugatti heritage and automotive
history.
