Ford Escort Mk I RS 2000 rally car, year 1973. Colour white with a black rally interior. The Escort RS 2000 is one of the ultimate historic rally cars. This fabulous rally car features a Cosworth OHC engine fitted with two twin choke 48 mm Weber carburettors.
The engine was up-rated and tuned with a Fardon crankshaft, accralite pistons and Burton connecting rods. The cylinder head was fitted with bigger valves. The engine is very powerful and revs perfectly. The ZF 5-speed gearbox transmits the power to a special rear axle with Panhard rods, heavy duty shafts and Atlas differential.
The car steers magnificent thanks to the adjustable Proflex dampers and the perfectly square wheel alignment. Fantastic brakes; vented disc brakes all round with 4 pot calipers at front, manually adjustable brake force distribution and hydraulic handbrake.
